Low Tatras National Park
This year’s event will be organized by Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and will take place in the Low Tatras National Park in Slovakia.
To get to Tále, where VEPSS takes place, travel by train to Banská Bystrica and then take the VEPSS bus which goes from Banská Bystrica to Tále. The bus departs at 16:00 on Monday, 1 June from Freedom Square (Námestie slobody).
Accommodation
The students will be accomodated in Apartmány Zuna, in the Low Tatras. The Low Tatras mountain range extends east to west between the Váh and Hron valleys, spanning nearly 100 km. Its highest peaks—Ďumbier (2,043 m), Chopok (2,024 m), and Dereše (2,004 m)—make it one of Slovakia’s most visited mountain regions. Despite its popularity, the range has preserved its unique character and boasts a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including numerous protected plant and animal species.
